Vision Personal Training joins forces with Filtered Media

Vision Personal Training has picked Filtered Media as its brand storytelling agency this week, putting the company in charge of PR, social media and video content aimed at both new franchise owners and personal trainers.
Vision Personal Training is the largest Australian owned network of personal trainers, and CEO Andrew Simmons expressed how impressed he was with the talents on offer at Filtered Media as well as its success with the health and wellness market.
“Every person we met at Filtered Media shared a sense of passion and authenticity,” said Simmons.

“Having founded Vision 18 years ago, I’m personally invested in having the right people and partnerships in place to expand our network of studios, and keep attracting the best personal trainers. NEC’s Coombes joins NextDC

Angela Coombes, former corporate communications manager at NEC, has shifted to data centre provider NEXTDC, as head of corporate communications and media.
The new role brings to an end a seven-year stint at NEC, during which time the company’s brand underwent a dramatic shift as it repositioned itself from product-centric telephony provider to an ICT services firm.
The Brisbane-based Coombes will remain up north in her new role, which she described as having a  broader remit than her NEC position, encompassing internal, external and strategic communications.
“PR and media relations are only a part of this role, and while there is still going to be a lot of importance placed on building relationships with media, it’s also going to involve a lot of different activities with various stakeholders including internal communications, industry associations and analysts,” she said.

WhiteGREY handles new Volvo campaign

PR outfit WhiteGREY Sydney has joined forces with the Australian arm of Swedish automaker Volvo for a new environmental campaign, called The Living Seawall.

A joint undertaking by whiteGREY, Volvo Car Australia, the Sydney Institute of Marine Sciences, and Reef Design Lab as part of the UN’s World Environment Day initiative, The Living Seawall comprises concrete tiles arranged in a pattern resembling the roots of the mangrove tree, which was once present in Sydney Harbour. The tiles themselves are made of reinforced concrete inlaid with fully-recycled plastic fibres.

WPP AUNZ has established a special panel management company under the Data Investment Management Group, called Research Profile.

The new business is designed to undertake associated research activities for specific clients. Research Profile’s first assignment is to manage the research panel for Red Planet, which analyses data from Qantas Loyalty to draft consumer marketing analyses and behavior.

WPP AUNZ agency Ogilvy PR Australia has completed a rebranding that resulted in a change of business name to opr and going out of the Ogilvy network as a new company under the WPP AUNZ umbrella.

Under the new setup, Ogilvy PR Australia’s mission and vision, and the client list remains as they were. opr will still handle Ogilvy’s Australian PR work and collaborate with Ogilvy’s APAC network. The Horizon Communication Group is up for more activity, with a new series of clients in both the private sector and the national government.

For the private sector, the agency earned a communications service deal with genomics firm Microba, which is known for a testing kit that helps users with assessing the health status of their gut. The objective is to educate the public on using Microba to assess their condition and approach their physician on what to do next.

PR/communications agency Taurus Marketing has joined forces with Sydney videography/animation house BéZIER to establish a new video service partnership.

Under the partnership, BéZIER co-founders Sebastien Phillips and Juris Malasenoks will contribute their skillsets to various Taurus projects.
